Stage 6 Information and Electives
This site is intended to provide Year 10 students and their families with information as they look ahead to the final two years of school.
You will find our range of Stage 6 subjects with information on each one to help inform your decisions for Years 11 and 12.
Students are encouraged to choose subjects they are good at and that they like - they will spend a significant part of the next two years learning and completing work for them.
Subject Units and Elective Lines *
Some subjects are ONE unit, while most are TWO unit subjects. The link to the NESA website explains what this means. Year 11 students need to complete 12 units, while Year 12 students need to complete 10 units of work.
Subject lines are usually published in Week 4 of Term 3 for Year 10 students to choose from each of the 7 lines on offer.
* In any given year, some of these electives might not be available. The subjects that will be available for students are based on the preferences made by the cohort. It is also important to note that elective subjects require a minimum number of students enrolled for the subject to be offered. The final decision is at the discretion of the School Administration.
The structure of the subject lines may vary from year to year based on the data collected from students.
