Friday Fams
Friday Families (or Friday Fams) is a weekly school-wide activity held in terms 2-4. During this time, our Primary School breaks into approximately 40 groups; a class teacher oversees each group, but the activities are led by two year 6 students.
They engage in enjoyable games, sharing sessions, and simple icebreaker exercises, facilitating interaction among students from different classrooms across the primary school.
The underlying philosophy of Friday Fams is that knowing someone from each grade fosters a sense of connection, reduces feelings of isolation in the playground, expands students' friendship circles, and grows in confidence to speak with others outside their immediate friendship group.
